FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO THE BIG TEN

Pictured with Freshman QB Kayd Coffman (#8) and RS Freshman QB Leo Hannan (#15) at a Michigan State Spring practice in 2026.

Kayd and Leo are the two starting quarterbacks Coach Lacanaria mentored across his three years as an Offensive Coordinator at the high school level — a testament to what consistent development and trust in the process can produce.

"[Coach Lac's training] has completely changed my knowledge of the game and elevated me to where I am today. He does a great job at fostering each quarterback's natural learning process… allowing true growth to happen."

— Kayd Coffman, QB · Michigan State

"Coach Lac has been one of the best people to come into my football career. It was such a blessing to have an Offensive Coordinator who helped me develop in all aspects of the game… and always have my back."

— Leo Hannan, QB · Michigan State

HOW WE TRAIN

We aim for improvement in three different areas to help our clients achieve their goals:

Mechanics & Fundamentals

Mechanics & Fundamentals

While every QB has a unique body style and ability, there are commonalities to guarantee we are maximizing efficiency. As football has evolved and off-platform throws have become more commonplace, it's more important now than ever that we understand the appropriate sequencing of our bodies from the feet, to the core, to the arm and release of the football.

Power & Twitch

Power & Twitch

While even professional QBs take time every off-season to dive into their throwing mechanics, as we progress, the focus becomes less on the mechanical side, and more on executing in-game movements powerfully. Strengthening, maximizing twitch, and building endurance are key focus points in continuing to develop your game.

Character & Leadership

Character & Leadership

Everyone who plays football passionately knows this is more than a sport. It teaches young men how to be leaders, how to communicate, how to be a good teammate, how to resolve conflict, how to deal with adversity, and how to love. I have taken the lessons I learned from playing youth, high school, and college football and use them every day to positively impact my players.

ALUMNI TESTIMONIALS

"On the field there is no question he can teach you how to spin it, diagnose coverage, and learn football as a whole — and off the field he's a mentor and role model."
